With the public’s help, the NYPD has captured some of the city’s most dangerous criminals through the Crime Stoppers program. The New York City Police Foundation rewards those individuals for their information–now over $2.4 million rewards approved including over $62,000 this year as of June, 2018. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for anonymous tips that lead to the arrest and indictment of violent criminals.
