“New York has been my home now for more than a decade. On the surface, the city can feel anonymous. Once you break through, though, you are welcomed into this warm community of support, strength, and understanding. Whether you lived here for two years or are going on 40 years, the New York experience is one that unites us all. This is why I am so passionate about the Reisenbach Foundation’s mission to create a better and safer New York. I want the next generation of New Yorkers to experience that same sense of welcoming into our community of support, strength, and understanding.
I grew up in a suburb outside of Chicago. Summer time was care free time. I could open up my back door and just run and play. I want a safe summer in NYC to be a reflection of those childhood memories. A safe summer in NYC allows children to just be children. A summer that allows them to go to the park and just play. A season that allows them to put their cares aside and just be in the moment.”
Throughout the month of July, we will feature some of the many loyal donors who make our programs possible. If you would like to contribute, please click here. We deeply appreciate your support of “a better and safer New York.”
