
Jim Rosenfield is President of JHR & Associates, consultants to traditional media, interactive digital media, communications and entertainment companies. His clients have included STATS, Inc., Pathfire Communications, , Hotel Networks Inc., and Entertainment Media Works.. He is currently on the Board of Salon Media, an Internet publication.
He spent twenty years at CBS, Inc rising from Television Network salesman to President of CBS Television Network, and later Sr. Executive VP of The CBS/Broadcast Group, with all CBS Broadcast divisions: TV & Radio Networks, Sports ,News, Entertainment, Engineering and International reporting to him. He took advantage of an early retirement program in 1985.
In 1987 he purchased, with Dillon Reed and SIFCORP, John Blair Communications, where he was Chairman and CEO. It was sold in 1994. He then joined Veronis Suhler & Stevenson, media investment bankers. He left after four years to open JHR & Associates, Media Consulting.
He is past President of the International Radio & Television Society (IRTS), Past Chairman, and currently Board member, of the Advertising Council, and a lifetime fellow of the International Council of the Television Academy.. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and former alumni trustee of The Roxbury Latin School in Boston, MA. He served in the US Army, Signal Corps Intelligence, during the Korean War.
