We are excited to announce the formation of The Trailblazer Council, a group of young media professionals with distinguished achievements in social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and/or volunteer leadership. As our foundation continues to grow, the Trailblazers will assist in our outreach to young adults and advise us on issues-based campaigns.
Peipei Zhou, a Global Client Solutions Manager at Facebook, has stepped up to serve as the council’s first member and to help shape the council’s direction in its first year. Peipei has an admirable record of high-impact service, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her to the Reisenbach Foundation. Among other contributions, Peipei serves as the Director of the Board of House of Roses, which offers free weekly dance workshops for homeless/at-risk youths in New York City. She also volunteers through New York Cares, and she organizes an annual toy drive. Recently, she started an Instagram account (@give_10_things_daily) through which she advocates downsizing possessions and giving to households in need.
In recognition of Peipei’s standout service to New York City and her willingness to serve as a Trailblazer, we presented her with the first Trailblazer Award for Young Leaders last Tuesday evening at Facebook’s New York City campus. Facebook generously underwrote the event by providing providing a venue and catering. The evening was a wonderful gathering of long-time and new Reisenbach Foundation friends and supporters who joined together to support our work throughout New York City.
We are deeply honored to have Peipei as a Trailblazer and so thankful to Facebook for their gracious support of this event!
