Meet one of our Board members, Steve Grubbs! As he’s speaking about his past, he recalls the reason that he wanted to join the foundation — he wanted the advertising community to give back. Over the year, Steve has seen all of the amazing programs that we fund.
One of the programs we fund is through the Police Athletic League (PAL). Our partnership with PAL has created the John A. Reisenbach Internships through their Youth-Link program. The Youth-Link program is an early intervention strategy that helps young people, who have been in the Family Court system, avoid detention, complete their probation, reconnect to school, and complete job training. Reisenbach Internship Program is designed to offer a “second chance” with these participants. The internship includes counseling, mentorship, academic tutoring, and hands-on work experience.
