
The Police Athletic League (PAL) “Youth Link” program provides youth who are at risk of entering or recidivating into the justice system with supportive services. In turn, these individuals can pursue higher education, careers, and mentorship. Youth Link targets young people ages 9 to 16 referred to PAL from the New York City Department of Probation and Administration for Children’s Services. Many live below the poverty line and have been arrested for offenses including physical assault, drug possession, and theft.
The Reisenbach Internship program provides additional services, supplementing the Youth Link program. Reisenbach Interns receive weekly tutoring, paid work experience, and a sequential service learning project.
This past year, the Reisenbach Interns created two companies “Lightning Vision” and “JaKLys.” Watch the commercials for these companies below:
