We are so excited to introduce Michelle Aragon of Magna Global as part of our Reisenbach Trailblazer Council. She is a rising star at her organization and in the New York philanthropy realm.
Here, she shares some thoughts on New York City, philanthropy, and the Reisenbach Foundation:
What is your current position?
VP, Business Solutions at MAGNA (part of IPG Mediabrands)
What do you love about living in New York City?
The always-on energy. It’s that unique energy filled with endless possibilities in NYC like nowhere else in the world.
Why is giving back important to you?
Philanthropy is innately part of who I am. Giving back can take many forms…donating, volunteerism, etc. For me, I’m passionate about serving as an advocate for social issues and connecting people to causes via nonprofit organizations.
Why did you want to be involved with JAR?
I love this city and JAR was an organization I learned about as an opportunity to help broaden my community impact within NYC. After meeting with a few members, I knew it was the right organization for me to support. JAR has worked tirelessly to reach its mission over the past 25 years and I’m looking forward to helping drive the organization forward and engaging a new generation.
Where do you see JAR in 5 years?
Leading the path to cultivate future generations to continue to make NYC a better place to live.
